Summary of Ghost Whisperer (Seasons 1-4)

Ghost Whisperer is set in a small town in New York called Grandview. The series follows a young women named Melinda Gordon. Melinda has a gift that has been with her ever since she was born. It is the gift to be able to communicate with those have died and have not crossed over into the light. Her job is to help them to cross over into the light by helping them with their unfinished business they have with the living. But that’s not Melinda’s only job. She runs her own Antique store called "The same as it never was". The store was used to be run by her and her best friend Andrea(SEASON 1). Andrea sadly passed way following a collision with and airplane that was about to crash. Now days she is helped with Delia Banks. A widowed single mother of one son (Ned). Melinda is married to a paramedic hottie Jim Clancy. Melinda and Jim have always talked about having children but Melinda stated that she wasn't ready to juggle being a mother and crossing over ghosts. But near end of the 3rd season Melinda decided that she was ready to start trying for a baby with Jim. In the start of the 4th season Melinda and Jim found out that she was pregnant but miscarried. She was later giving a drug to help her pregnancy stick. But tragic circumstances were about to follow when tidying up at friends wedding he was shot and then died soon after surgery. When Melinda could see Jims Ghost she pleaded with him to cross over to the other side and that she will be with him soon. But out of love and courage Jim stayed with her. Until one day stuck in traffic due to a motorcycle accident a Sam Lucas passed way with his ghost passing over to the other side leaving his body empty. Jim got the idea to step into Sam’s body and continue his life with Melinda. But his plan back fired and as he all lost his memory of being Jim. Melinda was heartbroken worried she might lose him forever. With Melinda being the only one that witnesses the event stuck by him until he eventually got his memory back in the episode Leap of Faith. It wasn't long after he got it back when Melinda got the unexpected news that she was pregnant with her first child. The baby was conceived before the tragic death of Jim making him the father. Both were over the moon. Melinda could not believe the news. She would soon learn the sex of the baby (A Boy). She and Jim/Sam decided to tie the knot again. Melinda’s mother Beth sent a wedding planner to help with the preparations. But not wanting and liking the ideas the wedding planner was suggesting Jim/Sam whisked her away to get married in the street she and Jim met. With Delia and her ghost helper Eli present. (That is the Series so far.)
